Day 1: Mombasa / Diani – Tsavo East National Park – Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Mombasa or Diani Beach at approximately 6:00 AM. Drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway to Tsavo East National Park, entering through Bachuma Gate.
Enjoy your first exciting game drive through Kenya’s largest national park, famous for its red elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hartebeests, waterbucks, and numerous antelope species. You’ll also have opportunities to visit the famous Aruba Dam, one of the park’s best wildlife viewing locations.
After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing, enjoy lunch before proceeding to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
Arrive at the spectacular Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where you’ll check in and relax while watching wildlife gather around the lodge’s waterhole.
In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive through Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species.
Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and an unforgettable overnight stay overlooking the floodlit waterhole.

Day 2: Salt Lick Safari Lodge – Taita Hills – Mombasa / Diani Beach

Wake up early to enjoy tea or coffee before departing on a sunrise game drive through Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Early mornings offer excellent opportunities to spot predators and witness wildlife at their most active.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast before checking out.
Enjoy one final game drive while leaving the sanctuary before beginning your journey back to the coast.
Lunch will be served at a selected restaurant en route before continuing to Mombasa or Diani Beach, arriving in the late afternoon.
