Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by Travel Tamaro Adventures. By confirming a reservation with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

All reservations must be made in writing and should contain all necessary information as agreed upon by both parties.

Group Tours and FITs (Fully Independent Travellers)

  • A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total tour cost is required to confirm a booking made more than 60 days before departure.
  • If the reservation is made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required upon confirmation.
  • The balance of payment must be received 20 days prior to departure or on the date specified on the invoice.

Reservations will only be considered confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received.

All cancellations and amendments must be submitted in writing and become effective on the date they are received by Travel Tamaro Adventures.

Travel Tamaro Adventures reserves the right to claim cancellation fees of up to 90% of the total package price.

No liability shall attach to Travel Tamaro Adventures for any losses or damages arising from cancellations or amendments.

Supplier Cancellation Policies

Travel Tamaro Adventures works with several suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and transport providers, each of whom may impose their own cancellation and amendment charges. Clients shall be responsible for all additional costs resulting from cancellations or amendments imposed by such suppliers.

Travel Tamaro Adventures reserves the right to cancel or amend any booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:

  • War or threat of war
  • Civil unrest or riots
  • Strikes or industrial disputes
  • Terrorist activities
  • Natural disasters
  • Floods, droughts, or adverse weather conditions
  • Fire
  • Technical or maintenance problems with transport providers
  • Closure of airports
  • Government restrictions
  • Any other unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances (Force Majeure)

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation and interruption of travel.

Cancellation of confirmed airline tickets may result in forfeiture of 25% to 100% of the ticket value, depending on the airline fare rules.

Any change to an existing airline reservation may be treated as a cancellation and subject to applicable penalties.

All prices are based on current exchange rates and tariffs and may be subject to change due to:

  • Government taxes and levies
  • Changes in exchange rates
  • Fuel surcharges
  • Increases in transportation costs
  • Hotel rate increases
  • Airline fare increases
  • Introduction of new taxes or fees

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD).

Bank charges and transfer fees are payable by the remitter.

No adjustments to the tour price will be made once full payment has been received by Travel Tamaro Adventures.

No refund claims of any nature will be considered if:

  • Specific accommodations become unavailable.
  • Excursions or meals are altered or unavailable.
  • The itinerary changes due to circumstances beyond our control.

Travel Tamaro Adventures will make every effort to adhere to the published itinerary but reserves the right to make alterations when necessary for operational reasons or passenger safety.

Unused Services

No refunds shall be made for:

  • No-shows
  • Missed departures
  • Unused accommodation
  • Unused meals
  • Unused activities
  • Unused transfers

It is the responsibility of all clients to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Medical expenses
  • Personal accident
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Loss of luggage
  • Cancellation or curtailment of travel
  • Personal liability
  • Loss of personal effects

Travel Tamaro Adventures strongly recommends adequate travel insurance before departure.

All luggage and personal belongings are carried entirely at the owner’s risk.

Travel Tamaro Adventures shall not be responsible for:

  • Loss of luggage
  • Theft
  • Damage to personal belongings
  • Delayed baggage

Clients are strongly advised to arrange adequate travel insurance.

It is the responsibility of every traveller to ensure they possess:

  • A valid passport
  • Appropriate visas
  • Vaccination certificates
  • Driver’s licenses where applicable
  • Insurance documentation

Passports must remain valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended departure date from Kenya or Tanzania.

Certain nationalities may require visas for countries within East Africa.

Passengers are advised to:

  • Consult their nearest embassy or consulate before travel.
  • Drink only bottled or purified water.
  • Take anti-malaria precautions where recommended.
  • Seek medical advice before travel.

Single rooms are available upon request and subject to availability.

Please note that:

  • Single occupancy generally attracts a supplement.
  • Single rooms are limited at many safari lodges and camps.

Travel Tamaro Adventures reserves the right to provide similar accommodation if the requested accommodation becomes unavailable.

Where passengers request shared accommodation, Travel Tamaro Adventures will make every effort to arrange suitable room sharing.

However, the company reserves the right to allocate accommodation in the best interests of the tour and accepts no liability if suitable sharing arrangements cannot be made.

Travel Tamaro Adventures acts solely as an agent for its clients in arranging accommodation, transportation, and other services.

Accordingly, Travel Tamaro Adventures shall not be liable for:

  • Delays
  • Injuries
  • Losses
  • Accidents
  • Property damage
  • Service failures
  • Negligence of third-party service providers

The company reserves the right to:

  • Alter itineraries
  • Change accommodations
  • Cancel services
  • Modify routes
  • Substitute services when necessary

without prior notice and without liability.

Travel Tamaro Adventures further reserves the right to refuse or terminate the participation of any traveller whose conduct, health, or behaviour may adversely affect the tour or other passengers.

Under such circumstances, no refund shall be payable.

Safaris frequently take place in areas inhabited by wild animals that roam freely in their natural environment.

By participating in a safari, clients acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with wildlife activities.

Neither Travel Tamaro Adventures, its employees, nor its agents shall be held liable for:

  • Injury
  • Loss
  • Damage
  • Death
  • Accidents involving wildlife

during the course of the safari.

Air, road, rail, and other transport departure times are supplied by the respective carriers and are subject to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Traffic restrictions
  • Mechanical failures
  • Government regulations
  • Operational requirements

Travel Tamaro Adventures shall not be responsible for any delays, missed connections, or inconveniences arising from such circumstances.

By making a booking with Travel Tamaro Adventures, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them in their entirety.
