Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East National Park

Begin your 16 Days Kenya Grand Wildlife Safari with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Mombasa at 6:00 AM. Drive to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest national park, famous for its red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge before lunch. After check-in, head out for an exciting afternoon game drive searching for the park’s abundant wildlife.

Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, home to Africa’s largest elephant herds and magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Following lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, hyenas and numerous bird species.

Day 3: Amboseli – Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, travel towards the central highlands via Karatina Market, one of East Africa’s largest open-air markets. Lunch will be served at Outspan Hotel before transferring to Treetops Lodge. Spend the evening watching wildlife gather at the floodlit waterhole directly from your lodge.

Day 4: Aberdare – Samburu National Reserve

Journey north to the rugged wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy an evening game drive through the semi-arid landscape and experience Samburu culture with an optional village visit.

Day 5: Full Day Samburu National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring Samburu National Reserve, famous for the unique “Samburu Special Five” including the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, and Somali Ostrich.

Day 6: Samburu – Sweetwaters (Ol Pejeta Conservancy)

Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, stopping briefly at the Equator. Visit the famous Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Kenya’s leading Rhino Conservancy, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 7: Sweetwaters – Lake Baringo

Day 8: Lake Baringo – Lake Nakuru National Park

Day 9: Full Day Lake Nakuru National Park

Day 10: Lake Nakuru – Kakamega Forest

Travel west to the beautiful Kakamega Rainforest, Kenya’s only tropical rainforest. Discover unique butterflies, monkeys, birds and indigenous plant species.

Day 11: Lake Victoria – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Days 14–16: Tsavo West – Shimba Hills National Reserve – Mombasa

Enjoy morning game drives in Tsavo West before proceeding to Shimba Hills National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most scenic coastal forests and home to the rare Sable Antelope. Explore the reserve with game drives and optional visits to Sheldrick Falls before returning to Mombasa at the end of your unforgettable safari.
